Overview First and foremost a customer dossier provides an overview of how the company network is designed and who has access to it. Important information such as login to servers, username and password to e.g. DNS for the company domain are also found in the customer dossier.
Configuration guide The customer dossier contains a configuration guide used by Centex when configuring new computers. The configuration guide is adjusted according to the needs and requests of the company. This way unnecessary communication is avoided in connection with purchasing new computers. Furthermore, all computers will have identical setups. If required, different configurations can be defined so that when ordering new computers, Centex is simply informed if for example a “salesman laptop” or a “stationary computer for factory floor” is required. These configurations are defined so Centex knows which requirements apply to the concerned configurations.
Maintaining the customer dossier The customer dossier is continuously maintained by Centex. New information is entered into the dossier and an update is sent via email to the company on a regular basis. If the company has additions of its own, Centex takes care of adding these as they are received.
