A major time-consumer
It can take a long time to handle spam if you do not have a good spam filter. Some filters only move spam to a specific spam folder which you then have to watch.
With Centex MailScan you will have very little to do with the actual spam and will be able to concentrate on the spam which might not be actual spam.
How is it installed?
Centex MailScan consists of two separate servers on two different internet connections which scan emails for virus and spam. In other words, it is not necessary to invest in equipment or software in order to have emails scanned.
Centex MailScan is in principle placed between the domain the emails are sent to and your company’s email server.
More and more spam
Centex Mailscan is updated 24 hours a day with the newest filters. This way the scanning is performed as correct as possible and it is ensured that relevant emails are not sorted out by mistake.
Blocked by mistake
If Centex MailScan asses that an email might not be spam, this email is put in quarantine. The same day a list is emailed to the user showing emails in quarantine. The list displays time, date, sender and subject. At a click of the mouse a blocked email is delivered. It is also possible to delete emails from the list or put senders on an approval list so emails from this sender are never caught in the spam filter in the future.
